In its sixth decade of operation, the University of Macedonia, the continuity of the historical Graduate School of Industrial Studies of Thessaloniki, is a modern state Higher Education institution, renowned for the ambience of quality, freedom, democracy, meritocracy and individual development it provides to all its members: students, Academic and Research Staff and university employees.

The objective of the Department of Economics is to train highly specialized economists. This goal is achieved through research and organization of the proper curricula which are regularly revised to keep up with new development in science, the economy and society.

Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE)

The Federation of Industries of Greece (SBE) was established in 1915. Since its foundation, it has been active in its efforts to promote not only industrial development, but also economic and social progress in Greece. It proposes and contributes to actions aimed at establishing and promoting the competitive advantages of Greece, as well as to the promotion of the overall economic development of the region.

The main aims of SBE’s development strategy have, for many years, been based on overall regional growth and development, as well as on the industrial development and international competitiveness of Greek industries, and on Balkan and Black Sea economic co-operative ventures.

Over the years, SBE has worked ceaselessly to achieve these goals and will continue its efforts to maximize and channel the benefits of these activities not only towards industrial development but, on a more general level, towards the economic and social progress of Greece.
 
Members of the Federation are manufacturing companies and industrial organisations.

Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA)

The Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) – Union of the Bulgarian Business is a non-governmental organization founded on 25 April 1980.

BIA is a nationally recognized organization of employers and participates with its representatives in the operation of all national consultative councils, supervisory and managing bodies of state public institutions.

BIA is the only business organization which is a member of BUSINESSEUROPE, a confederate-like European business organization, thus representing the Bulgarian companies and employers’ interests on a European level. Furthermore, it actively participates in the work of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the South East European Employers’ Forum (SEEEF). BIA is also among the founders of the Union of Black Sea and Caspian Confederation of Enterprises (UBCCE).

BIA has signed co-operation agreements with over 70 national business and employers’ organizations from the most developed countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA.

Trakia University (TRU)

Trakia University (TrU) is an autonomous state scientific and educational institution with domicile in Stara Zagora. It was established  with a decision of National Assembly on 17.07.1995 pursuant to Art. 53, p. 5 and Art. 86, p. 1 from the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and Art.2, p.1 from Higher Education Act (HEA) based on the Higher Institute of zootechnics and Veterinary medicine (HIZVM) and Higher Institute of Medicine (HIM)- Stara Zagora with the existing to them faculties and independent  departments. Later, with  decrees of the Council of Ministers (CM) (№ 62/26.03.1996, № 16/27.01.1997 and  № 374/15.10.1997) the Institute for increasing teacher’s qualification (ITQ) and 4 modified in colleges-institutes – 3 of medicine, in Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Sliven, also 1 technical- from Yambol. With decree № 135/03.07.2002 of  Council of Ministers are established Faculty of Education and Department for information and in-service teacher training (DIITT) and with  DCM  № 136/03.07.2002  ITQ  is closed. Bulgarian- Germany college of Agriculture (BGAC) is included in the structure of Trakia university with DCM № 182/11.09.2000. The college is a descendant of pre-existing college for farmers.

According to Decree № 125/24.06.2002 Trakia University covers six of all areas of higher education: social, economic, nature and environmental, technical, including Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, health and sports, as well as 16 professional fields of Classification of Higher Education areas and professional fields.

"St. Kliment Ohridski" University-Bitola, Faculty of Economics-PRILEP (UKLO)

The University "St. Kliment Ohridski" – Bitola is the second state university located mainly in Bitola, with faculties in Prilep, Ohrid, Veles, Kichevo and Skopje. It was founded on 25 April 1979, but the name "St. Kliment Ohridski" was not given until late 1994. The number of enrolled students exceeds 15,000.The act of the formal establishment of the university "St Kliment Ohridski" – Bitola was on the 25th April 1979. On 8 December 1994 when the University of Bitola started to celebrate the day of St Kliment in honor of his patron.The founding assembly was held on 25 April 1979 in Bitola. A Self-Managing Agreement for joining into the University of Bitola was signed by six higher education institutions and two research institutes, namely: Faculty of Economics – Prilep Faculty of Law – Bitola Faculty of Technical Sciences – Bitola Faculty of Tourism and Catering – Ohrid Higher School of Agriculture - Bitola Academy of Pedagogy- Bitola Tobacco Institute – Prilep Institute of Hydro-biology- Ohrid.

The international character of UKLO is confirmed by the participation in international programs and associations among which the most significant is the membership in EUA and BUA. St. Kliment Ohridski University is also a holder of the Erasmus+ Charter.

In the year 1977, then existing Higher vocational school of economics in Prilep (1960) had been transformed into Faculty of Economics, which had been one of the initial members of UKLO in 1979.

Agency for Promotion of Entrepreneurship (APERM) is a state owned institution established for implementation of the Governmental SME policies and other related projects/programmes adopted by the Government for support of entrepreneurship, competitiveness and innovation. We support sustainable economic growth, regional development and increased employment, helping enterprises to start, grow and reach technology level to competitively enter international market. The Agency, acts as intermediary between policy makers and SMEs through permanent communication and cooperation with all partner institutions dealing with entrepreneurship promotion and SME support: - Foundations for support of SME and entrepreneurship (Regional SME Support Centres and ESA Agencies) - LED Centres - Clusters - Entrepreneurial incubators; - Private consultants. - Other entities (Universities, Other ministries, NGOs, Chambers of commerce and other SME associations, Banks).

Cyprus University of Technology (CUT)

The Cyprus University of Technology aspires to develop itself into a modern, pioneering University able to offer education and high level research in leading branches of science and technology which have high impact on the economic, technical, and scientific sectors.

With its orientation towards applied research, the University aspires to establish for itself a role in support of the state and society in their efforts to confront problems, which cover all areas of science and technology. The programmes of the CUT to a large extent complement scientific areas, which are not currently covered at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels by the University of Cyprus or any other institution of higher education in the country.

The Cyprus University of Technology was founded by law on December 2003 and welcomed its first students on September 2007.

The Cyprus University of Technology is based at the city of Limassol, where all six faculties are located.

Cypriot Enterprise Link (CEL)

The Cypriot Enterprise Link (CEL) is a youth-led organization aimed to connect and support the Cypriot entrepreneurial talent in order to form a local and a global entrepreneurial network supported by events, meetups, workshops and projects. Following its first year of operations, CEL has successfully accumulated a member-base that consists of hundreds of aspired Cypriot entrepreneurs and innovators across the world; led workshops and networking meetups in three countries; and organised ad-hoc initiatives that include Hack Cyprus - Cyprus' first hackathon event and consequently also the island's first technology festival, and the Pink Edition - a movement dedicated to empower women in entrepreneurship in Cyprus.
